The difference between training and not training for a 10k.

What is 18 seconds Alex!

Yup, today I ran the sporting life 10k for the second time. Only, unlike last year this year I didn’t train. I hadn’t run more than 6k outside since last May. And that was probably at the race.

My time was 57:28 – not too shabby by anyone’s standards! So I was pretty happy.

This year I’m inciting myself to keep running (last year I stopped after the race pretty much) – as a reward to myself I bought a pretty new running skirt and shirt. So now I have to use em.

Just to clarify to everyone out there… You didn’t really NOT train. You’ve been running on the treadmill at least 3 times week.

Lazy people like me, however, did not train. I’m glad I didn’t even try running this year. I would’ve had to take off my number, hop the subway to Union, run across the SkyWalk and met you at the finish line.

LOL.. I love it! I’m all about the retail-therapy to reward myself for doing physical activity!
