Friday night: Went out with Sara, Karl and Mariano to Harvard Street in Brookline (about a 15 minute walk from here away from the city). Now, in the EB tradition, someone had to wear the sombrero so I decided it was my turn. Led to some very interesting times. Was on the dance floor and some random dude with an accent starts dancing with me.

Him: Are you from Mexico
Me: No, I’m from Canada
Him: Then what’s the hat for
Me: It’s my thinking cap
Him: So, what are you thinking?
Me: I’m thinking that your accent is fake..

Then he left. Go figure. Anyway, closed out the place and then headed to the local pizza joint. Made it home for 3:30 🙂

okay. now i’m going to read.

It’s gross out. I can’t even bring myself to take Harry Potter to the gym across the street. I’ll just sit here and read 🙂

Joke of the day
Karl Gyllstrom: while we’re on the topic, why couldn’t the tangent function get a loan?
Jennifer Schachter: why?
Karl Gyllstrom: he couldn’t find anyone to cosine.

So, Friday night was fun. Rumours of the open bar having a two drink max were proven false. The bar did close up about 9 though, so we quickly moved on to Red Hat on Beacon Hill. I stole a Sombrero (the dinner had a mexican theme) which Karl wore for the rest of the night.
After Red Hat, we decided to go dancing in Faneuil Hall (Quincy Market area)… wanted to go to Ned Devine’s, but the line up was really long. We went somewhere else instead. I’m not too sure what it was called, but it was right across from where we meant to go.

Today was the first really nice day (where I wasn’t working) in Boston. About time! Had an awesome time!
Met up with Nikki (my new friend who i stole from bobbyjoe) in her neck of the woods, and trekked down Newberry street. Walked all the way to the Commons, where we chilled for a bit to play with Duckies and Squirrels and then walked back… Got a bit of stuff, but nothing major until I get a pay cheque!

Walking back, we hooked up with Karl (another EB intern) to go for sushi. On our way, we stumbled upon Sarah, Jennifer and Yan (other EB interns). Yan decided to join us. After dinner, we went for ice cream and ran into Chris (yet another EB intern) and his wife.

Considering the fact that I know maybe 30 people in boston, it is kinda funny that I ran into 5 of them in one afternoon. Guess Newberry is the place to be on a Sunny Sunday…

Yesterday for lunch I went to the Scooper Bowl where for $7 you get all you can eat ice cream!
There was Ben and Jerry’s, Hagen Daas, Good Humour and like 5 others serving about 32 flavours among them.
The best was Sponge Bob Square Pants Cookie Dough…

Last night was our first Extreme Wednesday. Basically it’s an excuse to drink.

Tomorrow we have project presentations. We have to present our projects to all the EB kids, staff and mentors. It’s also open to anyone at IBM who is interested.
I, of course, find this very scary.
But afterwards, to celebrate, there is a party here at the dorm with an open bar…
