Breaking the Cultural Barriers
Today at work I discovered that someone 3/4 of americans surveyed* call this a toboggan.
At first I was convinced that it was some conspiracy – that we Canadians had taught Americans to talk about the sleds that they wear on their heads to give us a good laugh, instead of letting them know the real word for said hat.
Then I checked wikipedia. Figures — Canadians would never be that sneaky. I really ought to move.
