I’m online again. I wonder if anyone cares… 😛

January 2nd, 2003

I’m back.
Punta Cana was great.
Oh, I’m now caught up with Sex and the City. Watched all of season 5. In Spanish. With English subtitles 🙂

And I’m sick of the snow.

December 25th, 2002

I just changed the time zone of my blog. So now Oxford entries say they were 5 hours earlier than they actually were. Hrmph.

To Oxford folk: Happy Christmas!

And to everyone else, Merry Christmas!

December 20th, 2002

It’s my last day. I’m coming home tommorow.
That just blows my mind.

If I had to do it all again, instead of living in our place owned by Globalien I’d stay here (an add I found on dailyinfo:

Early January. ‘Homeshare’ in East Oxford. ‘Cooperative’ lifestyle. Very high standard place. £250 PCM plus bills. N/S working person sought.

Just kidding. Though I am curious about ‘Homeshare’ and ‘Cooperative’, I love 9 Boulter Street, and I love paying about as much in ££s for rent each month as I do in Cdn $$s (and that’s absolute numbers…)

So anyways, I guess it’s cheerio from Jolly Old England.
See you on the other side [of the pond] soon!

I Just wanted to share this with you all.

Dayna was the first person I know who had one (the White Kung Fu). I got my first during the exam period this summer. It would sit on my table in DP.

At work we have three and they’re in compromising positions at the current time.

Have you had your const today?

December 18th, 2002

So I’m basically done my shopping. All I have left to do (besides the list below) is pay Tescos a visit to stock up before I go home. Anyone need anything? Chocolate? Crisps? Tikka Stir-it-ups? Last chance to speak up!

“Imagine, if you will, a homely kind of girl – well-liked but usually ignored – who lives next door to the town hunk. He is the centre of all her thoughts. She peers through the net curtains as he swaggers out for a night on the town. She reads major significance into every gesture: every time he ignores her on the street; every time he gives her an affectionate pat. She despises his unruly ways but, deep down, desperately wants to believe this is true love. He barely even gives her a thought. In romantic fiction, you end up with a white wedding and happy-ever-aftering. In international diplomacy, you get the US-Canada relationship.”

You can read the entire article from yesterday’s guardian. You have to see it in print to fully appreciate it – the pictures beside it are truly awful!

December 13th, 2002

I leave a week tommorow.
On my to do list:

Oxford:
– take a walking tour
– sneak into the Harry Potter school
– go to the Ashmolean museum
– go punting
– eat at Fishers
– eat at Thai Orchid
– eat at Joe’s
– get fish and chips from Carfax [I’ve now been to a proper fish and chips shop so this isn’t as important – but i’m curious as to weather they actually sell deep fried Mars Bars]

London:
– tower of London
– the science museum
– the wedding dress museum mom went to
– see more plays (namely the one with Gillian Anderson in it, Les Mis, and Mama Mia)

It’s a good thing I am not doing any of this on the weekend.
Now I have a legitimate reason to come back here and visit soon.
