The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks by Rebecca Skloot

The only non-fiction book I read in 2010 (at least by choice). An interesting tale about the woman behind HeLa cells and the author’s challenge in the present day learning about her. Didn’t find it all that engrossing and was definitely ready for it to be done by the end.

A window into the lives of two people – the same day over two decades. I didn’t expect to like this very much but ended up loving it! Cried when it was done and talked about it to no one (N who wasn’t listening) on the boat.
