Why did you pick the Canon over the Nikon? I’ve been looking around trying to decide on a DSLR as well, and finding it hard. I look forward to seeing wat success you have with your new toy!

i’m a canon girl. i’ve loved my canons. i’ve had the s100 (got pick pocketed), s110 and IXUS 600.
the majority of my photog friends swear by canons (though there are several nikons in the bunch).
and the bottom line is that they’re both great — you can’t go wrong with either.
now i just have to figure out what i’m doing.

If you’re looking in the protruding tube-y looking thing, turn it around. If you can’t find the button, flip it over. If you’re back to the protruding tube-y thing, trying flipping again.
I’ve heard excellent things about the XTi. Basically, if you own any form of SLR, and you’ve got a lense or 3, that’s the reason to choose the camera make. If not, go with the best price.
